I had a camera today for a few minutes, with a reasonably long lens and i found my target. Ducks!!! (no egrets around this part of the world, sorry) first time photographing ducks (or even animals come to think of it). I wasn't impressed with the lens. But hey, what do i know and care, i got pictures :D

This is my trying-to-understand-PS-too-much-time duck-shot. Does it work? hmm, i'm not convinced.

You have a nice reflection going there in the first shot, but I don't like that his tail-end is missing. Probably would have worked better as a horizontal. I l like the 2nd shot best, but mostly for the ripple effect in the water. The last one just doesn't work for me in black and white. Neither does the grainy effect...is it your exposure or PS??? I'm not an expert at either rolleyes1.gif so can't offer too much help on correcting these!!! I hope you were borrowing this lens since it didn't impress you much! :D

Thanks for looking. I have a similar one to number 1, and it is a 'landscape' one. But the duck was so exactly in the middle, i just didn't like it rolleyes1.gif To be honest, the third one, is my way of playing with PS, and trying to save a picture. The owner of the camera left it on 1600 iso, and i didn't check rolleyes1.gif till i was starting to wonder about the absurdly high shutterspeeds. So grain comes both from camera, and PS. Both the camera and the lens weren't mine. Focus was soooooo..... sloooooooowwwww.....

Glad you were able to capture your target. As has been mentioned the first one is nice, but missing a little eek7.gif.

I don't really feel the B&W works that well in your last one, thats just me though.
