Replacing Glass In Front Of Sensor

Hail all knowledable people of the Dgrin world. I have a question;

Can the glass protecting the sensor on a Canon 10D etc be replaced if it gets marked, is that just the glass (and probably the sensor) buggered, and is it replaceable?

Also talking about sensors and clean glass, does the Copperhill cleaning 'thingamajig' wear away at the glass or damage/wear anything in time?

:scratch
Thanks,
Rob

    This sounds about as dangerous as trying to defuse the old Luftwaffe bomb that you just dug up in your garden.

    I would be assuming that if it could be replaced then it would be done by a professional.
