it has the best focus on the front of the car, i suspect because this was a slower clss of cars? Your shots of the modern cars make them all seem so much faster than the first few of the "classics"

Thanks
Have you seen these Escorts go, they are seriously fast for any old car probably the best rally car ever some are worth £50,000, the last 3 modern cars i was using 50mm 1.8 at a slow shutter speed just to see what it could do
Thanks Stan
I don't know had to duck just before they hit me
I love shooting rugby for the faces and rally will be doing that again
Hello folks!
I'm the driver of the rallyorange MKI Escort.
Can I just say what a lovely photo of us and everyone else.
I hope you enjoyed the day as much as did, after beeing away from the forests since 2003, my navigator was on his first forest event and I was a little rusty.
But we are now looking forward to the next one, which will probably be the Dukeries Rally.
Please come and see us on the event, also try the web site with forums at www.rallyorange.co.uk
Thanks chaps, all the best.
Phil.
I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

This event was great fun to shot, First shoot was at Sherwood Pines then a 5-6 miles drive to Blidworth woods then about 2 miles to Thieves Wood and then back to Sherwood pines for the last stage just for the fast modern cars was out of the house at 08.00 to 18.00 even my girlfriend enjoyed it. i will post some later if nobody minds don't want to take over the forum

This is awesome. How do you pan forwards, shoot at 1/40th and stop stones flying backwards?
Great set thanks for sharing.
You seem to be enjoying the action whether it's rugby or motor sport.
Cheers

Lets see . . . remind me not to bid on your lenses if you ever put them up for sale: FS: Like new lens with minor rock chips . . .
Neat shots. Love the vintage escorts.
