Cool pics, I like the patterns. I can't wait to see flowers. Not a flower guy, just tired of Michigan frozen wasteland... flowers would be a nice site.

Thanks Micheal,
I too look forward to Spring, although this Winter hasn't been too bad here. One thing about the midwest, the weather is never too boring.
I think I like the last one best too! Though I like the green petals in the 2nd to the last one.

Thanks Tessa,
These flowers are from my lady-friend, Sue, to my mother. My mother is fairly advanced in Alzheimer's, but she still appreciates flowers. I photographed these to help her remember, even after the flowers have wilted and gone.
2nd and last is amazing i loved others also but 2 and last are different weldone
Thanks Awais,
Truth be known, that's my favorite too. The others are OK in that they show a pattern immediately identifiable as a flower. #2 is less so and, I think, will make a great enlargement.
this flower looks hungry - kinda like "little shop o' horrors" with sharp looking "claws" around its great, gaping maw
neat shots ziggy
Thanks Colleen,
I really owe a lot to different macro gurus here at DGrin who suggested lighting techniques that I adapted to my equipment and needs. We have some greatness shared in these threads.
Nice set Ziggy. The lighting looks great on all of these. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks Thomas,
I'm sure you're aware, because you also "macro", lighting can be as much a challenge in macro work as any other component. These were hand-held and really just practice for Spring weather, when I'll do more out-door stuff.
Subjects big or small, it's all part of the photographic world we live in.
Like a wise person just told me, "Keep 'em coming."

I like the feel of the last one, you can see the detail in the petals making it feel more real than just a pic.

It's better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who you're not.
