from Sunday AM (when else would one expect sunrise shots :huh ) hehe. Too bad that my first one was so good, well, we all SAID we liked it, and I am partial to it, too. But I did do these, too.
Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome, even you can say, "yeah but, I liked the other one you posted better".

In the one below there is another lighthouse to your right of the Morris Island lighthouse. It is way across the harbor on Sullivan's Island. I lived right across from that one in 1989 when our major hurricane came through. Four or five feet of water, life altering event. But the light is on in that "small" newer lighthoue whereas it is extinguished forever in the Morris Island lighthouse. (the photo might be a tad soft, can't tell, it was darkish)
A bit later........

After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

I'm at the point where I realize I just need to be satisfied with one good shot on outings like these.

. And the really funny thing is that I know you are serious, too!
And it is true that the other shot was one of the luckiest photographic things that could have happened to me that AM. Up to the point of NO MORE MEMORY within 15 minutes of me the second I took that shot.
But if it hadn't, well, I might have liked one of these, but you are right, none of these has the impact, or stands on its own as art like the "first" one did/does.
I remember my fear the night before that aside from dying, there was also a good chance that I would not get a photo I really like. That one photo more than exceeds my dreams, basically due to the exact moment I took it with the light on the foreground. These here are the photographs I feared I would not get, that one is beyond my imaginings.
Thank you all,
ginger

I would really like to know the focal length used to shoot both of the two lighthouse shots. That'll let me know what I'll need to get some of the shots that I want when I make it back that way with two good legs under me. The longest I have is a 100-400, but I'll rent/lease either a 500 or 600 if necessary.
I like the touch with the new Charleston Lighthouse (built 1962) in the background of the middle photo.
