I don't have a good story like Problemchild (see Yosemite Storm pictures). It only took me 2 hours to get to Yosemite on Saturday. I was waiting for a day like Saturday all year and only got to go at the last minute. Here are a couple of shots that are a little different than those great shots already posted.

Both pictures are worthy of large prints and a place on your wall

BUT your shots - both of them, but the second is my favorite - are simply great. No question about it - deserving of lots of praise
I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Man, those are some sweet shots. I love the contrast of the warm color and staight lines of the building against the detail of the trees behind in the first one.
The second one is just magnificent. The light tones throughout make it seem extremely delicate and the detail captured is just perfect.
Thank you for sharing these,
Ben
