Harry http://behret.smugmug.com/NANPA member How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
And with a D70?!!! I was expecting a $5K body. What lens did you use? Do you give lessons? I want to learn how to do this!!!!
Thank you Tomas, and others, it was a joy to share my fantastic moments with the Eagles....a time I shall never forget. Yes, these were shot with a D70 mounted with an 80-200 mm 2.8 lens, hand held. Do I give lessons? Heavens no, I need all the lessons, and help I can get myself.

I think I'll trade in my 300 for your 70-200 any day if I can do half as good as this post... :uhoh ...:D
Nice going William.

Wow ...again, sorry to be redundant. super sharp, and they mush have been close. I never had Good luck with my D70 tracking focus, this is amazing. Is your 80-200ED 2.8 the AFS version ?
- Super series William, another set of well exposed, well composed and sharp captures. I have to say that I'm damn jealous of your Eagle spot.
Thank you Steve, I know the quality of your work, so this is wonderful compliment that I greatly appreicate. If I even get close to your level, I'll be a happy camper.
Wow!!! These shots are so great I can hardly pick a favorite!!! I think l lean towards #3, but they are all truly awesome!!!!
I like "wow", "awesome", and all the kind words; thank you very much Saurora. I like all three of course, but maybe favor # 1 because he has such a determined look about him.

O go ahead and be redundant, it feels good. Thanks Cookie. I don't have the AFS, but wish I did, however, I'm very happy with the lens I have in terms of quality. It has proved itself more than once. The tracking bothers me as well...you should see the ones that got away, but I think it's the way it is with that lens. With fast moving birds you just have to be right on the mark. And yes they were close, or else I could not have done so well.
Sorry, I've been away, and am just getting caught up.
These are simply outstanding captures.
You are the man.
I'm glad you're back Kdog......I've been away myself, so we can catch up together. Thank you very much for your compliment, but I'm the man....big shoes to fill.:): : :
