How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Does this mean you might actually post a photo or two?

I'm sure by late May you'll be saying "Cletus, when are you going to stop posting baby pictures???"

More fellow dgrinners on their way to the poorhouse...:):
Congrats!
Now THAT's poor house material.
:wow :yikes :eek1
I'm without a wide angle right now. The Tokina 12-24 looks pretty nice
I'm still saving for those...
Then I thought.. hmm, do I just WANT the 5D or do I /need/ the 5D? There's an explicit difference. So I said, okay, no 5D, instead, I'll get the 20D, 17-40 f/4L, 50 f/1.4 and the 70-200 f/2.8L. But then I realiased, I don't EVER shoot wide angle and don't prefer to shoot landscapes... so why not scrap the 50 and 17-40 and just get the 24-70 f/2.8L, one of Canon's best lenses.
So for $1000 less I got the 20D, 4gb CF, the 24-70 f/2.8L and the 70-200 f/2.8L with protective filters. I figure the lenses are an investment for life if I stick with the Canon lineup and don't turn into an elitist fashion Mamiya shooter, and the body is temporary until I can justify - as a working professional - a higher end model. I didn't want to wait for the 30D, because I couldn't see any signifigant difference, so I saved some cash and got a mint, tried, tested and true highly successful body that will serve my purpose tremendously.
keep in mind that 50mm f/1.8 is less than a hundred $. And f/1.8 is not THAT different from f/1.4 speedwise...:-)
I'd say you have a fabulos choice of lenses
I have just got Nikon D50+AF28-105D 3.5-4.5+1G SDcard~~
cost me RMB7000... ...
PS: I am a chinese~~~~:)
My D70 caught the dreaded BGLOD bug. She's now on her way back to Nikon.
