Cape Cod Cold
I think my first post in wildlife - not much of a wildlife shooter.
..and what do you get? Seagulls! :huh Well, mostly.
I found it interesting how they weather the winter wind - let me tell you it was howling the weekend I was there. I opened the (leeward) door of the car, and it is now full of sand that blew in backwards. The sand was flying sideways. Even with a VR lens, I was getting blown about so much it was hard to get shots off.
But the gulls have it figured out. The wind apparently is the least right where the ocean meets the land. So you end up with something that looks like this:
I recorded what I think of as definitive scientific proof that seagulls have no nerve endings in their feet:
Then my girlfriend starts shouting over the wind "Shoot the babies!" So they aren't babies, but they're still pretty cute:
Hope you enjoyed these, since I froze my hands off getting them

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Harry. OK, so that stuff that's hard that comes in your Gin and Tonic? It's "frozen."
