Birds through the window.

Little explanation here. Power was off this morning, so by candlelight ,decided to read more in the Exposure book. THEN decided to try some shots in manual from inside! No TC on the 70-200 since shooting though two (old) windows, regular and storm, was enough distortion:): These are also cropped quite a bit. I don't think they turned out too bad, your thoughts?
Oh why didn't I just go outside? Too darn windy!

    Shooting through glass?
Pretty darned good results for shooting through glass I would say.
You must have a really good lens.
    Nice job.

    Nice job.

Yes glass, the window and then 4 inches out from that the storm window. Lens my trusty 70-200f4, and blind luck.

    Thanks!!!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Bah! Wind was so bad it was taking the lens and merolleyes1.gif

And thanks Harry. 3 keepers out of 90 shots for that bit of madness

Nice series Thusie, especially seeing you were shooting through a window. I like the colors you've captured in the Grackle. I'd prefer to see the crop made so there was more canvas in front of the bird in the first two.

Thanks Steve and you are right on the crops. Muffed that( Grackle) trying to wack out the edge of the picnic table, bad idea huh? The Rob? I have no clue why I did that.

Thanks Jeff. On the tint, I wonder if it is the age of the window glass? Newer glass (25 and up) has varying degress of UVB blocking properties, some not really visible to the eye, but there. Wonder if that could throw things offne_nau.gif These were shot raw and I took them into CS2 with just a minor tweak on the exposure if anything.
