I have a treo 600. I use SplashPhoto, and I keep about 30 of my favorite snapshots on the phone. When people ask about my kids or pets, I whip out the Treo and show them. Then they're sorry they asked :D. Seriously, it's all good.

Yup, I'm using the Treo 600 (and my Pocket PCs) in a similar way. Since those screens are pretty limited in resolution (only 160x160 for the Treo 600, 320x320 for the Treo 650) you can store quite a bit on a small space if you just want to carry some of your images. On the Palm, I use Splashphoto. Although it also exists for the Windows Mobile platform, I prefer Resco Photo Viewer on the Pocket PC.
enjoy being here while getting there

    thanks
    for your input..

ordered the Treo 650 last week through Cingular, recieved and played with it for an entire evening (well, well past midnight)...downloading my 1500 + address book (thought that was very exciting, as remembering names is not my strong suit)...a few hours passed and WHAMMO! ..the TREO completely shut down...tried all avenues to bring it back to life (soft reset hard reset etc. etc.)...Cingular support with the TREO was horrible....after all was said and done, I sent it back for a good old regular phone....

Think that I will pick up a regular palm pilot ...in this way I will not get the old Palm/Cingular
    ...its is a PALM issue...
no, that is not our department
...it is definately a Cingular issue
    ...etc.etc.etc.

I have Verizon, and they have pretty good support. They generally accept responsibility for problems. They sent me a new phone when the speaker phone stopped working.
