Mamafest 2006 was this weekend out here in Washington. Great cause and a great event, here are some quick samples from the morning practice session.

these are nice closeups but it is always nice to see the jump when doing shots like this so you have some relation as to what the heck is going on. without some sense of the ground you have no idea how high the snowboarders are going. if you look at a snowboard magazine almost all the shots will use this technique.

Nice shots I LOVE the 3rd and 5th especially, shame you lost the hand on the second.

You have got some great angles for your shots and have done well to frame and freeze the action so perfectly.

I dont feel you need to show the jump on these shots because of your target audience, the focus is on what they are doing in the air! grab spin etc

Very nice, if you get chance take a look at my snowboard shots there are some in here a bit further down and one of my favourites in the whipping post http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=29820

Nice series. The first shot tells us why we're here. Consecutive shots give us
an idea of the talent. The third one is nice because it gives a bit of a hint as
to the height of the jumper.

    Cool stuff!
