One from the back yard, before the last storm, now we have 3 inches of snow on the ground and get to wake up to 20 degree F temp in the mornings :uhoh

Thank you Andy, Saurora, Al and Thomas I appreciate your kind words. I feel the black birds are often harder to expose than the white ones. You almost have to have direct sunlight on them, of course if the sunlight is too harsh then it's no good either.

I've tried many times to capture these little black birds without success, but you've set a wonderful example of how to do it right Steve, thanks. And of course it is a beatuiful picture.

Ah, sure you could. It's all a matter of timing and getting them in the right lighting. The more I take bird pictures, the more I realize that the sun is my friend (sometimes foe). I guess like all photography.
