Its on Lake Geneva, it's called the "Jet d'eau". It pumps water 460 ft. or (140 m) into the air. The water leaving the nozzle is traveling at 130 mph! I can't imagine the pressure requried to do that! I know, I know, it doesn't look that big, but what if I told you the boat is about halfway between me and the fountain!

They gotta spend all that watch and chocolate money on tax breaks so the government doesn't get it, yeah, that's it, yeah, or maybe their war fund was getting to big from all those years of staying out of it yeah. Or Maybe they were trying a PR stunt for bottled water! yeah, I got their number. I'm just sayin' it's gotta be some kinda conspiracy!

Now we know why!!! To quote Waxy: J'accuse!!!
And yeah, the engineering behind that must be pretty cool. The pressure, the nozzle design. Man, I'd love to run some PIV on that gorgeous arc being made by the falling water. I just saw it now on my second look. Lovely stuff, I can imagine all the neat particle trajectories in there!
