Thanks for the feedback, Steve. I have copied your tutorial on "Selective Sharpening," and I will apply the techniques to these pictures. Of the two pics, the lighter dove would really benefit from this technique because part of its profile is against blurred tree branches. The picture, consequently, lacks the "pop" you created with your sample in "Selective Sharpening." I appreciate the advice.
