How 'bout that? Got the whole flippin dove in the shot C&C always welcome and I do try and put your good advice into practice.
Dirt and mulch..Yehaw!
Just liked this one. A 'candid' squirrel pic.
Hi Thusie,
Nice color and DOF in your pics. What lens are you using? Looks like you have some signs of Spring emerging from the Mulch and dirt. I can't wait to start seeing Springtime colors come back again.

Hi Fred
I'm afaid some of what you see is nutsedge, hard has heck to get rid of, but yea, I'm looking forward to some spring colors as well.
Always good to get the whole bird in the shot. Great expression on the second shot. Looks like the tree rat ate something that didn't agree with him. Hopefully it was rat poison.

Good job getting the whole bird Thusie. I also like the almost perpendicular angle to the bird.
You'll probable hate me for being nit-picky , but I think it would look better if the Dove was either perpendicular to the camera or slightly with the head closer to you instead of away. Does that make sense? Don't hate me

Aha Harry that is why ai didn't use 'squirrel shot' gets you way to excited
Doves are so pretty, even though they are so common (at least where I live!) At least you have some "natural" mulch to shoot...I always seem to have asphalt pavement!!! I really like the expression on #2. Looks like someone threw dirt in his eyes...maybe the dove as it made it's get-away!

I think the dove looks very sweet. NIce shooting. (I shot a squirrel just for you, today.) With the camera, HARRY, . more humor,:): .
Will try to work it up tomorrow, he was not as happy about being shot as your squirrels appear to be.

The more cover we plant the more birds are showing up. We had our first RW blackbird this morning, cool!
In #2 that is a pretty normal expression after they back their head out of a hole they have dug, I just happened to catch it.
