Hi all, thought I'd share a few, as I bought also a x2 teleconverter and tried a few shots in nice sun with both converters, and couldn't really tell much difference in clarity, which made me happy, considering I payed $35 for the x2Promaster, used. Also have a new friend across the street in the park who actually came to visit me, a rare mountain/western bluebird[see below these]

Very nice captures. I like the wing blur in the 3rd one, and both birdies are very nice.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks everyone, the bluebird is rare here. I don't know of one person that has seen one here. We may have had some in the past in the canyons, but no where around this area, so its a real treat. Cool that he's still here, and came over to my house, how strange is that! I am thinking of planting a few wild berry bushes for him, although I have a cat, so I should go plant it at the park where he is safe.
Heres a few more of him, the last one showing up in my yard yesterday:

Great bee shots....especially the last one. What was the other TC? I bought a Keno 2x and was dissappointed. Oh, and just where did you find the sun?

    thanks nightshadow and dallas.
I believe the first one was the 1.4x and the second one was the x2, which was a used one from ebay I bought last week, called Promaster. It appears it works well, mainly in good light. And that was a full size, slightly cropped photo reduced for my album.
The last one was the 1.4x, I think it was just a lucky clear shot, I cropped it down quite a bit. Most the bee shots are about one third of the photo cropped away, then resized for the web album.

As far as bird feathers, I think they degrade a little with the teleconverters. I do wonder if it isn't just better quality to use the lens without one and crop the photo by one third and have the same size target as with a telex, and maybe a little cleaner. For an 8x10 that'd be fine. But if you wanted a full size frame to print, you'd probably want the teleconverter. Try the kinko in good light. These were in bright light which helped alot. Around 1/1000, f4 [which surprised me] and ISO either 400 or 800.
