Backyard imports

I was shooting birds today and noticed that many of my favorite shots were of house sparrows and starlings. Neither of these birds are native to Ohio, or even the US I believe.

As I understand it, they were brought here from europe.

    just like a lot of other folks --just think what good photo folks us indians would have been and how much wildlife WE would have had to shoot :cry by the by the color in the starlings is great thumb.gif but I would still send them home clap.gif

    Nice series Brian. You're correct about the Starling and the House Sparrow being introduced to this country. The main concern regarding this is the huge negative impact they have both had on the existing species, especially the Starling.
