Some nice shots there, you did a great job of capturing the emotion. Kinda funny to see a guy doing an interview... wearing a leather jacket. naughty.gif

I found this one to be the most striking.

Have you ever eaten a little fish? Tuna fish sandwich perhaps... rolleyes1.gif

Seals are cute, and in everything there is balance. while I don't understand the passion of these people, it is evident and portrayed well in these pictures.

Nice job capturing the moment. I feel like buying something made from a seal. I just really hate finger-wagging people doing stuff like that.

Things I found interesting in these great Photographs.
The woman in shot three wearing the leapord Print on her head.
The number of People wearing Leather Shoes.
The Number of women wearing make up that was most likely tested on animals.
That they are not upset about baby humans being killed by are beside themselves that Seals are killed???

The capture of these people was great....

Seal hunting is mainly done in Newfoundland. That area is very rural and very poor... sort of like the West Virginia of Canada. The (young) seals are hunted for their coats... they lose them in the months after birth and after they gain their 'adult' coats, they have virtually no financial value. Thus, what happens is baby seals get clubbed for their coats. The Canadian government has regulated the seal trade for three decades... Its outright banned the practice a few times, owing to various pressures, from social pressure to dangerously overhunting.

Its an ugly practice... theres no getting around that. Whether it should be legal or not... Thats for others to debate.

    Great photos.
