"Moved" photos disappearing

I used the "Move Photos (expert)" screen to move a number of photos from one gallery ("Blogged Images") to several others ("Contemplation", "Streets of Toronto", "Winter", etc.). The photos disappeared from the source gallery as expected, but several minutes later, they have not appeared in their respective destination galleries.

I'm sure this was working last week.

If I then do a search for these images using a keyword (e.g., "Blogged"), the photos appear in the keyword's virtual gallery, so I know they haven't been deleted. When I click on "see photo in gallery", I'm taken to the correct destination gallery. However, the photo I was just viewing is not there!

:dunno

Edit: I tried the obvious -- logging out, deleting smugmug cookies and clearing my browser cache -- to no avail.

Two hours later, still not there.

    In a "keyword" virtual gallery:

The link referenced by "See photo in gallery":

    :nah

Edit: after sorting the destination gallery by "position", the Blue Car photo is visible in the second link.

...but it still might be a bug.

I changed the gallery sort orders from "Date Uploaded" or "Date Taken" to "Position" and the missing photos appeared.

Same thing happened to me last night
Same thing here. I moved about 28 photos, but I think about 5 didn't make it. I haven't had time to research in depth. It's worked before. My albums are all private, but I moved from "New" to "Minnesota Special Hockey II" and to "2006".

The photos are not in source and not in destination. File names were very generic, so that shouldn't have caused a problem. Some made it, some didn't.

I just moved a lot of photos around on my gallery - no trouble - so let's dig further into your issue, I'd like to help!

Can I have specific gallery links, please, thanks.

I've alerted the help desk. Have you checked the sort order for the destination galleries?

My "disappeared" photos appeared after I set it to "Position". Then I set it back to "Date Taken" and they were still there, in the proper place. umph.gif :crazy

Thanks Andy. Here is a specific example with links.

    This photo, "Matinée",
    http://garyjwood.smugmug.com/keyword/street%20shooting/1/59591376

...was originally in "A Shoebox Full Of Prints":

I tried to move it to "Streets of Toronto" using "Move Photos (Expert)". It's not there now:

The photo is there, as you've discovered, it's just gotten stale. By flipping "sortBy" to be a different value, it'll refresh.

Meanwhile, I think I fixed this bug with Bulk Move (Expert). Try again if you wouldn't mind and let me know.

    Thanks!
