I spotting this eagle circling and looking for something.

He looks up and calls.

Ah, there's his student.

First lesson is synchronized soaring.

Where dad goes, junior follows.

Getting a little crazy now.
IMG_3354.jpg

Junior gets a little close.

Dad has a cross word.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks, Benjamin. I was very glad I was there as well. It was an amazing display. The more I learn about eagles, the more facinating they become. I just recently found out that they mate for life. And now, it's abundantly clear to me that the juveniles are mentored and taught by the adults. And they're so much fun to watch. I can't tell you how much time I've spent in the past few weeks chasing the buggers. I just wish I had a better lens. :uhoh

hey, your "dots on the horizon" are mostly how close i get when i see them....and i agree with you that they are very fascinating.

every notice, though......an eagle's facial expression never changes :D
