    that is pretty amazing. wow. cutting right through a giant ship engine!! :uhoh

    and yes, we are damn messy. the only way to clean that stuff up is to basically put in what is a special "soap" chemical that will adhere to as much of the oil/fuel as possible. It can help, but you can be damn sure nothing living will pass through that area for some time.

    one of the ways to safely [enviromentally speaking] scrap out the cars will be to actually separate the metals in the cars and to sell that scrap to various foundry's for the making of cast car parts....such as engine heads, blocks..etc......the lower grade metals can be used to make manhole covers and such also....

    The europeans are great at not wasting. They have a much better recycling program that we do (at least here in Ks, I cannot speak for the rest of the country :D ).
