Silks and fan

Got the winter blues and called my daughter and niece to come over for some photo fun. Broke out the black sheet, fan and lighting kit. Then told the girls we were using silk outfits! LOL
It made for a great family night together.

    It looks like a fun time. So what was their reaction when you told them they were going to wear silks? I like the first and third poses the best but am not to fond of the lighting. Not that I would know how to actualy use lighting. I've seen mention on here before about using hair lights? As far as I know they help separate the subject from the background. The background is to black and the parts of the girls that were not lit jsut vanish. Just my .02. Cute girls BTW.

    The girls know when it is photo time it can mean anything! lol
    We love family shoot nights.....
    The fan was more of an issue for them then the silk ---- eyes tearing :):

    Straight black BG is my downfall - and yes I should have compensated with the lighting on that. --- but all said and done we had a blast shooting and hanging out together. We have "odd" family camera shoot nights - My sister and husband were shooting also.
