Well, Dave inspired me to get my butt out of the house and take to the hills. So, mini-me and I took a little ride and came back with some deer.

    Jim,
This is a nice capture. I like the feel of it. But as Art mentions, it's soft and the detail is a bit muddy.

This image begs for a little post processing. I hope you don't mind, but I spent 30 seconds on it and I hope it looks more like what you saw.

Shooting in snow really fools your meter. It will cause darker subjects to be under exposed quite a bit.

Thanks Art and Steve. Steve, that looks almost exactly like what I saw. I love what you've done with it. Thank you. the deer were in the shadow of the trees which made them a little hard to shoot. I tried to brighten it up some with elements, but it just seemed to come out way over done. That one looks great! Thanks. thumb.gif

I'm glad you got out and bagged a couple deer. It has a nice mood to it.
The birders definitely own this forum, but I think we can sneak a few
    4 leggers in. :D

Nice capture, and I like the increased contrast that Steve C. added to it.
