I was thinking about entering this into the current challenge.
I wish I could remove the slight yellow hue, but alas, no PS color tools allowed.
What do you think? Or does it not make you think? Is there too much color?

Still yellow - just not on the outside of the sockets.
jwear, the "white" is on the right side and the "black" is on the left side.

You can probably reshoot so you have stronger whites and blacks, why not try all the sockets standing straight up, and just have one socket facing the camera so the yellow shows? That should solve all the problems, less yellow, more black and white...:):
