Striking, esp. in black and white! Almost look like infrared shots. Unusual and very well done. Congrats...glad you enjoyed our "neck of the woods"! (Like Ed Hughes, I only live a couple hours from Sequoia and Kings Canyon Parks)~ Nee :)

    What up Ed,

That place is awesome. I can't wait for the road to open to Kings Canyon SP. I will probably be up there every weekend thru out the summer. Have you been up to The Trail Of A Hundred Giants?

I love it down in the Canyon myself... I'm not sure if I've ever been on that trail, where does it start? Nice to see some more people from the area on Dgrin...

Nice shots. The Sequois are harder to shoot than most people think. I too am from the Fresno/Clovis area and waiting for the roads to open. Or, at least for a day when I am off work and the weather is good at the same time...

100 Giants is down south towards Porterville in the Sequoia National Forest. It is very similar to Grant Grove except you can rome where ever you want since there is no finces. I went there once and really liked it.

    Thanks,

I do agree that they are had to shoot since the light is scatered all over the place in the forest. Also the fact that they are 200 feet plus and you have to get right next to them. I went up there this morning and the roads were open up to Hume Lake, no chains required. However I'm still waiting for the actual canyon to open up. I think all of us Fresno County people should get together and go shooting. By the way nice pics of Yosemite.

Thanks for the comments. I just put most of those Yosemite shots out there unprocessed so I could try my new DSL line. I want to find some time to process the raw files and repost them.

A couple of us around here have gotten together for Yosemite, San Luis Wildlife Refuge and a Bald Eagle shoot at Millerton. We'll try to get some messages going when we plan our next outing. A few of our locals are going on the Bryce and Zion shoot so we may have to wait until after that. It would be nice to meet another dgrinner.
