Hi -
This was my first proper trip out with my camera. I went to an antique store to check out some stuff for work. I know theres alot of photos but thought id punch em all up online. I was trying to teach myseld DOF with teh aperture settings on the camera and using differnt angles, etc. Very minimal P/S done, basic levels and cropping on one or two images.
Results? below what do u think??

only complaint was the lack of dof on the can shot, did not see the point on that for shallow dof unless you were working on that-
remember, if you want some indepth c&c, stick your best up on the whipping post-
thanks for sharing-

thanks for the views George__ with the can shot i was trying to go for a deeper dof but didnt quite get there , hahahhh as u can see.
i would love some further 'whippings' on these shots - maybe a moderator can move the thread????

The colors of the urns (or whatever they are) are very nice. It appears the focus was on the most distant of the group. The foreground items were not quite in focus. Also, moving to the left a little might have reduced the glare on the sides of the urns - maybe?
You got the DOF thing working nicely (IMO) on the gold and red box pic. Crop out the shelf edge on the right of the picture and you will greatly improve the image. Same thing for the chair and stuff on the left. Should leave you with a very nice portrait format image.
