Street photography LA

Hi all!

My neighbour will be going to LA later this year. She is shooting some pictures for a book being written, but she will have some free time aswell. She really likes to do some streetphotography there. But since she hasn't got that much time and she is unfamiliar with the area, she is trying to figure out before hand where to go. She is looking for something outdoors, no beach/water/boardwalk/carnival things, non-touristy things. I know it's kind of a broad question, but if you guys/girls know of any places or areas to go, or avoid, i/she would appreciate it!

Oh very cool, thanks alot. I'll ask her tomorrow for more specifics, what i wrote down is what i got sofar

I'm in Utrecht, pretty much in the middle of the country, my favorite city in the Netherlands, home of the below-streetlevel canals, and the 400ft churchtower which isn't connected to the church Oh and not to forget the local legend "broodje mario" (sorry no picture) An italian type of bread roll with all sorts of stuff on there, it's the best! Anyone ever around this part of the world, contact me, and i will make sure you get one.


Some more keywords/ideas: people, groups of people, (hard) shadows, city/no suburbs. I'm thinking maybe a business district? tall buildings for the shadows, people outside? Also maybe something of an outside market maybe? Or other forms of outdoors "gatherings"?
