Tomorrow I start on After Egret Fest! I worked hard on getting these shots, yesterday I went to Magnolia, today I went to the Pitt Street Bridge, no nesting, practically no birds, but they have to eat sometime......I got better shots without all those sticks and twigs. These are from today, but I have many more from today and some from yesterday.

This was the bird count (I was later in the morning than I should have been). One Great White Egret, two Snowy Egrets, one Tri-colored herons, and other less usefull birds such as a few pelicans, small birds abounded, flitting rapidly behind branches and leaves. Good thing the egrets were good sports! And I am exhausted.

And just because......................

I thought it was "cute" the way this bird was hiding from me in the grass. I really do have trouble with these little guys, but I like the flowers and all in the grass, truly wild flowers in a Carolina spring. He was a bit OOF, but I high passed him!

Tomorrow or the next day I will post some more!

Mostly egrets, too.

(I checked every inch of all the egrets, they are not blown, though they do look light, but they are not blown, not even close.)

ginger, the end of egret fest! :cry
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

Hey Ginger, you got yourself some egrets. thumb.gif I think the first two could use some cropping. Birds seem a bit too centered IMO. That 2nd one I would really like if the bird was off center and to the left a bit. Looking "into" the frame more. I do like the "off" angle and think it works fine....just move them birds out of the "center" just a bid. ne_nau.gif

Nowwhat will we all be shooting this month? How 'bout alligators? :D

thanks, mike, I know I tried doing that with the little bird, in fact he is a tad off center, but I ................like centering..................mybad!

ginger (I have more, I have more.........so maybe I will just go with doing those more off center, most of my photos are not copped, I have to remember, or have good reason. I like those first too a whole lot, though. Maybe I should move them off center.................so others will like them, too)

They are your shots, Ginger. I was just making a suggestion. That 2nd one isn't so "smack center" as the other one...so leave it ....if you like. That first one may be a tad off center...but I'd need my ruler to figure out by how much. umph.gif:D If you like them....that's all that matters. I might also photoshop a pineapple pizza in these shots so the Cali machinegunners will like them. eek7.gifrolleyes1.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks for stopping and commenting. I also posted at least one, probably two, at least, new egret photos on that thread, too.

I know that these different threads can be confusing.

ginger (One of them I really like recomposed, thanks)
