Cool, Mike, I only worked up "birds eating" shots from today, not yesterday's yet. Am tired of those birds showing off.

Something is wrong with me. I am starting to think that night herons look like cockroaches. Those horny egrets annoy me.

The ones today, though there were few, I understand eating. Much better than carrying sticks around the rookery.

However, I do have photos of those activities and I will post a few, but I am not working up many.

Your series on it is nice! More than nice. Am really glad to see someone paying respect to those birds.

Thanks Ginger, Russ & Harry. Appreciate you taking the time to look 'n' comment.

These were all taken at the Venice Rookery in about a 40-45 minute "time killer" shoot. I just stopped in while passing through...and the birds were very cooperative yesterday. I shot a full 2 gig card and part of another one ...all in under an hour. It was very productive shooting. Seems there was a photo op every time I blinked. :D Did I mentin these were NOT taken in my backyard. rolleyes1.gif Not only were the birds posing..the weather was beautiful as well. 80's ..sunny..nice breeze. It really sucks living in Florida....right Harry. :D

Our weather is gorgeous today, and I will be willing to put money down that Charleston, SC will rival anywhere in Florida for great weather this month. Weather gets no better than springtime in Charleston, SC (I know other people have written songs for other locales, I think we write ads as we get all the tourists).

But the weather is great! Unfortunately Bill works all the time, never stops. Was supposed to be off this afternoon, OH NO, he is shooting a prom 2 hrs away. That not only ruins today, he will be too tired tomorrow for anything, and he works Monday morning, whine.

Well, that is not the point, our weather is gorgeous!

However, my legs are about to give out! And my back, my poor aching back. No time for PT, even if I liked having a nice massage.

I would mention that I use a Crumpler backpack, and I have been taking stuff out to make it lighter. I have this huge backpack in order to carry an extra lens: one extra lens and a bottle of water, if I am birding (400 and 70-200)

So, the idea of dropping into a practically drive thru rookery (hehe, they might be the next thing), well sounds great to me. Stand in one place, or sit, turn 180 degrees, then leave with a filled up CF card.

As I said, good series, Mike!
