I hope the centering is better. Some are difficult to do without either cutting off the feet or the head.............or changing the proportions.

I photograph for myself, and my audience, which seems to be limited to dGrin, a few friends and a couple of other forums. So, who to please is kind of like the tree in the forest only the words changed to: if no one sees your photographs are they visible..........or something along those lines, smile.

Just aim to please! Me and Thee!

Oh, and don't despair, I have many more from the past two days,

This is where I posted the recomposed shots. The new one on top, I just could not move that bird any more out of the middle without messing up the total composition. I did as much as I could with all of them.

I really like the second one down recomposed. It is a favorite of mine from yesterday, and I am please to have it look better.

Nice series Ginger. Glad the Egrets have landed in your neck of the woods. The only thing white around here is the ground (patches of snow still present)

Oh, my Steve, and you get such beautiful little bird shots, too. I love your shots!

Nevada, do you live in the mtns. I lived in the Denver area and this time of year there were ups and downs in the weather. Much variation depending on the elevation. Could be 70 degrees in April and snowing on Memorial day, though one hoped it would not be, smile.

Thanks for stopping and commenting, Steve!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Ginger I like your new "slant" on egrets! I especially like #1 (the streaker) looks like he's running to or from something!!! I don't even mind that his foot is missing...it seems to add to the action. There are always exceptions to every rule! thumb.gif

    Thanks, Saurora!

Maybe I should just enter that one in the Challenge! Does anyone realize that there are 60 some entries? YIKES! I just have fun entering. Then someone "sees" my shot in a moment of specialness (to me).

(Your entry was my favorite of all of your shots, it has a hook, and I didn't see all that other color someone mentioned, looked blk and white to me.)

Thanks for stopping and commenting! Surprises often happen when I put on a "new"/different lens (I had the 1 1/4 extension on the 400).

Those Snowy Egrets are a trip to watch. They fish in rhythm (sp) with one foot, or they stand absolutely still, then suddenly take off like in the shot you like (the first one). It is usually a sharp turn and a "run" about. Who knows why?

I'm surprised there are that many entries....everyone seemed to struggle with the idea for quite awhile. A very determined bunch of photographers!!! I have a feeling they will all be glad when THIS challenge is over!!! rolleyes1.gif Looks like that 400mm is working well for you...wish I had one! Your entries are always contenders...Good luck and thanks for your comments on my snail!!! :D (Don't need a 400mm for snails!!!)
