Signs that Spring is on the doorstep here in New England. These are some of my first shots with my new 20D.

Comments and critique welcome.

Nothing like playing with DOF on a new camera!!! Been doing the same myself. We have rain today and I have the flu...no shooting! :cry I love the color of the plant/tree in the 2nd shot, although it's a bit OOF. What lens were you playing with? :D

    Saurora,

Sorry you're not feeling well. Such a bummer. :cry

I was using my 24-105mm F4L IS lens, which is the first lens I bought.

You're right, I was experimenting with DOF. I also like it when leaves are backlit by the sun, although I haven't figured out how to capture it in a photograph.

Backlit stuff can be fun. Here's a picture of some backlit leaves I took with my old G2 several years ago that you might enjoy.

Thanks! Your backlit leaves are beautiful. I think I have to become more patient about selecting the shots with respect to the background.
