Hopefully these images are a promising sign of things to come after our late season rains. Please excuse the lack of sharpness and the dull sky as the wind created less than optimal conditions.

I don't ever think I've seen a field of flowers like that before. The second almost looks like you used selective color. Very Coolclap.gif

Nice shots. Were these taken in the Antelope Valley? If so I truely understand the wind condition.

Weird thing is I DIDN'T use selective color; although I am a fan of that tool. I used a little 'contrast' and 'highlight' and that was it.

What's even weirder is that my captures don't even come close to the real colors, hearing the Bees, and smelling the scent.

These shots were captured 15 miles away from the Poppy Reserve in the north west part of the Anelope Valley.

Hello Dee - See above for where and the yellow flowers are Goldfields and the orange are obviously Poppies.

    Todd,

They all have some redeeming features, but I agree with the others that #2 really is a sweet image. Very, very nice.

    Thanks,

I 15524779-Ti.gif with the comments on #2 - very cool. I liked it so much I went to your web-site to look at the "original" uploaded image (thanks for leaving it available) because looking that the large version just didn't do it all for me.

BTW - that thumbs up/thumbs down scriptlet is cool. Care to share how you implemented that?

Scott, I think the thumbs up/down is something new on Smugmug. When I went on my site this evening .... there it was. I didn't turn it on it was just there. Also several of my photos were posted as "favorites" on my home page. I don't know, but I think it is something Smugmug just implemented. ne_nau.gif
