Although pretty common, the blue jay is a beautiful bird and in abundance here in the Charlotte area.

So, too, are the magnificent cardinals, male and female. I thought that you might enjoy these.

Pretty birds! My daughter and family live in Charlotte, as do my son and family! I am up there a lot.

Other than some storms and things, you all are nicely into spring, too. I love going to see Julie as she has a large backyard with all those little birds.

    Thanks for sharing!

We sure don't get to see these kind of birds here in southern California
    Thanks for sharing Gil

    Thank you
Thank you Russ, Steve, and Ginger for your comments. I appreciate them.

Steve: I looked for the "curves" in Photoshop Elements 4 and could not find it. I presume it is in only PhotoShop CS. That's OK, though, because In a couple of weeks I am going to buy a copy of PS CS2. As a college faculty member, I can get it at half price. Then I will be able to make those beautiful frames you have made for your bird pictures, and perhaps make my pictures "pop."

Ginger: My wife and I would like to meet you. On one of your trips here to see your daughter, perhaps you and your husband would be able to come to our home and have some sweet tea with us. I will send you more info off-line.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Thank you.
Thanks for the comment. The blue jay is loud and aggressive, but I would be too if I wore a suit like that.

    Thanks so much.
I replaced the male cardinal pic with one that better reflects the brillance of the cardinal's red. Thanks for the comment; as always, I appreciate it.
