I wish that rail hadn't been in the way. Unfortunately, the only thing that could handle this light level was the 50mm at 1.8, and I couldn't actually climb on top of people. I guess I need to develop my assertive side!

15524779-Ti.gif Crop it tighter and you can lose the rail...

No bar, but it lacks the power of the original. I guess I just missed the perfect shot (who hasn't done that!)

But it's so close! It's really quite an awesome shot regardless.

I think that there is a lot more in this shot to be had.
The dancer is clearly separable from the background so you could mask the backround out on a separate layer and then improve the color and contrast on the dancer to perhaps-fabulous levels.

No photoshop, just Digital Image. I blew all my cash on the camera, and I think I will be switching to mac sometime this year; so I hesitate to invest in software now.

There are a few ways that this could be improved in post-processing, however. Noise removal, for one.

I kind of like the color, though. It's "unnatural" looking, but so was the scene, but I'll play with it and see how it goes.
