I can't. Since going mainly digital I am veering more to colour and away from monochrome which has been running through my veins ever since taking up darkroom oh so many years ago. So help me out - which do you prefer?

This is one of a series of minimal landscapes I'm messing about with.
Thanks for your help

I'll second that. The color just "feels" better to me.

I spent years working in black and white and I love it still. But, that being said, this shot works better in color!!!

That particular hue of green, its consistency and texture really make it.

    It's the color for me.

Mark, both are great. I do like more the color version(obviously, just a personal POV), but hey, maybe a good frame on the B&W should pop a little the land becouse it's grey on a grey background site.

Thanks everyone. Seems like the colour has something the b&w lacks :D I think I'll have a go at the mono version to inject a bit of drama. I still really like the mono but have to agree with the consensus this time.
Again, thanks for the comments, they are all really useful.

The color definitely. It is a very striking shot. It should be printed very, very large IMO.

Not to be redundant, but here's another vote for color. The vivid grass against the bright sky looks fantastic...it'd make a great desktop background! The BW version just looks kinda blah. Nice shot, too. I love the lone tree in the distance.

The color is very nice. It reminded me of the default wall paper in Windows XP.
