Hey, baby need a ride? - Sage Grouse attracting female - animation
Not sure how well this will work. This is an animation of a Male Sage Grouse doing the "plop" sound that they use to attract females. You should be able to see the large sacs (cervical apteria) that are esophageal pouches. Unfortunatley I wasn't able to record the sound, but you will hopefully be able to get an idea of part of the display ritual. This is a layered gif file. If the below animation doesn't work on the forum the image can be viewed here:

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
No wonder your so fixated on bird breasts Sorry

As usual, crystal clarity, "pop" central figure, and the piece de resistance, animation. Good job. When not blowing up the esophageal pouches to attract a female, what other function do they serve? Can I order some to renew my wife's interest in me?

Thanks Mike, the animation stuff is really pretty easy. To set this one up I took a burst of 6 shots of the grouse, then put those all on separate layers. Using the animation window I set up the layers, the time between windows etc. Then use the Save for web. Let me know if you need more details I could probably write up a more detailed explanation.
