... to see that your shooting and pickup quality haven't been affected by a gear change
Goes to prove it's not the camera that makes the picture, it's the photographer. I'm sure you're loving your new R1 and it must seem like a whole new world to you.
Great work, as always.
** Feel free to edit my photos if you see room for improvement.**

I didn't know you speak Russian:-):):
Beautiful Portrait..

I loved my 707, but I really like how subtle the colors look in this shot. The 707 and subtle color are like oil and water....
So how are you liking your new tool? Any compliants or discoveries?
Steve
Which is, most likely, just another proof of a point: "it's not the camera, it's the photographer"
Howdy Yuri,
So glad to see the Girls of Voronezh are still as beautiful as ever, and now you have a new Camera to capture even more beauties.
Very nicely done!!! Can't wait to see more.
Warmest Regards

May I ask you - how much years are left for your study?
It was not easy step (DSLR or R1), but I choose R1 and I'm glad!

Steve! Spasibo, dear friend!
R1 is a great camera and I have to shot, shot and shot to learn its capabilities and make R1 my real friend.
I like 'zebra', fast focus, EVF and some other things, but most of all I like ISO 3200 and b&w!!!
Like journey to my youth...
Yuri
Spasibo for your nice comment!

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence that you tried~
Expanding on this line of questions...
I've been starting to test myself in portrait shots. I have been successful in 'talkin-up' my subjects and getting some nice looking poses and expressions. However, I have a great deal of difficulty doing this talking from behind a camera. I'm getting great expressions without being able to actual compose and shoot! Obviously, I need mostly to keep practicing. But I was wondering if you have any tricks or advice for making the transition to talking with the camera between you and your subject.
-Rich
p.s. Having a studio and setting up on a tripod would be great, but I'm taking these portraits "on the street," so to speak.
Thanks!
... come along.
Thank you for your kindest words!
Yuri
Spasibo!
Yuri
How are you, dear friend?
Yuri
Spasibo (Thank you) for your comment and congratulations.
I tell them about their beauty and /or interesting look.
I tell them how to stay, even ask to think about something (Thinking of 'him', for example...)
Some time before I presented them prints, but it was too expensive (with 10 prints and 10 models a month for ex..)
So now I present them CDs with files for prints and ask them to present me the the photo they like more...
Once again thank you,
Yuri
Advice?
You must talk, talk and talk without stopping. About what?
About her /his beauty, about photography, about Dgrin, about me finally :-)
