Thanks for looking. I've been lurking for a while and finally joined. I feel really bad about having my first post be an S.O.S. but I'm really hoping someone can help me. On to my issue...
I'm having trouble getting my Pocket Wizard Plus setup working. The kit came with a transmitter (tx), receiver (rx), sync cable for camera, and batteries.
There wasn't any included cable to go from the rx to the strobe so I went to Radio Shack and picked up a 1/8 stereo male-to-male cable. With the tx on the hotshoe of my camera, and all devices on channel 3, I can successfully "test" communication between the tx, rx, and L-358's tx based on the indicator lights of the PW units. But the only time I can get the strobe to fire is when I transition the cable going into the rx either in or out.
What am I missing? Is this cable the wrong type? I feel like it's the common denominator here, and the instruction "pamphlet" isn't helping at all. Anybody?
Thanks!

I really wish PocketWizards came with the correct cord, though.
