I am globally settign pricing for my whole portfolio, and when I log out or open another browser to verfiy the content of my custom package and buy a photo, I get CART IS EMPTY message. When I click on the sjopping cart logo, teh item is there. What is going on.

A link to your site, and the specific gallery, will help me immensely.

I just went to your canyon gallery (great shots!) and put three photos in my cart, logged out, went back - all is fine. I see your custom pricing. This is in IE, FF, and also Safari on Mac.

OH - what browser and platform are you using?

    EDIT: found your problem -

You're not properly CNAME Aliased to SmugMug. Follow these instructions:

    http://www.smugmug.com/help/professional-accounts

naturexposed.net is pointing to 69.93.236.106, probably due to domain forwarding. That's bad, here's why:

    http://blogs.smugmug.com/pros/2005/12/01/dont-get-framed-or-forwarded/

You see - we can only handle the cart cookie when you are properly CNAME Aliased. Go ahead and do your same test from here: http://natureexposed.smugmug.com/ and you'll see it's working just fine :D

I'll be back in the morning (midnight here in NY).

If you need help getting properly CNAMEd, holler for me at our help desk.

I think this is the same problem I posted about in the bug reporting thread. I checked my zoneedit settings and as far as I can tell I have a CNAME setup correctly. I sent an email to the help desk and Dustin said he'd forward it on to the engineers. If there's anything I can do to fix this on my end let me know. Otherwise I figured I'd let redsvt know he/she's not alone.

Dan, try to replicate the problem. We fixed this last night, we're pretty certain. Pls test again on your site and let me know if you have troubles. BTW, don't forget: clear all your cookies, logout, etc.

Ok Andy checked my DNS at 1on1 CNAMED is setup correctly. I am still having an issue with the custom pricing. When I apply portfolio pricing all I get is speciality print pricing, even though I have standard print pricing and have applied it. I tried it on a different computer and can confirm this as a fact. naturexposed.net.
    Windows XP SP2
    Explorer 6.0
    Firefox 1.5

Glad the 1on1 name change is working (confirmed) thumb.gif

    Now, on your pricing:

It's because you have 0s in for all the prices except for the 8x5x11 on these images:
    http://www.naturexposed.net/gallery/1323570
    http://www.naturexposed.net/gallery/1323570/1/62469412/Large

You can override portfolio pricing by using gallery and individual image pricing. Gallery pricing overrides portfolio pricing, but not image pricing.

    http://www.smugmug.com/help/print-pricing
    How to set prices:

While logged in with your main password (not as a guest), choose the Photo Tools pull-down menu below any photo. Select Custom Pro Pricing, the top option.

You can price at three levels. We recommend that you start by pricing at the portfolio level. Portfolio pricing applies to every printable image on your SmugMug site.

You can override portfolio pricing by using gallery and individual image pricing. Gallery pricing overrides portfolio pricing, but not image pricing.

Note: If you are reading this after pricing at the gallery level, no worries: you can add portfolio pricing to catch any holes in your gallery pricing. Your gallery pricing will still override portfolio prices.

OK Andy, I am getting very frustrated. I have gone through all the instructions for setting up pricing, I have a portfolio price list assigned, I am still getting strange listings. At times I will apply portfolio pricing for just two items, which for now is all I want to sell, Standard and speciality prints and, all other values either left blank or have 0.00 in the $$ box, and when I buy a print I am offered the whole gammut, I must be doing something wrong, but cannot figure out what. As I stated earlier the way I have been doing this all week, has not changed, only since thursday I have noticed this as a problem that now will not go away.

    Hi,

I can see why you're frustrated! I just want to clarify that entering nothing in a field will allow the item corresponding to that field to be purchased at smugmug's default pricing. If you'd like an item to NOT show up in your shopping cart, you'll need to enter "0" next to the item.

Also, there seems to be some confusion about gallery versus portfolio pricing. Gallery pricing overrides portfolio pricing. So, although you have portfolio pricing set for three or four items under "standard prints" (in this gallery: http://www.naturexposed.net/gallery/1323570 ), in your gallery pricing you have everything in "standard prints" entered as "0". Predictably, no standard prints are available for purchase in your shopping cart.

Similarly, you have exactly 5 custom prices set for portfolio pricing under "specialty prints". You don't have gallery pricing for these items, so in the shopping cart, I see every specialty print available for purchase. 5 of them have your custom pricing and the other 20+ items are available at smugmug default prices. I hope this makes more sense!
