Feeding the Birds? Yeah, right!

Lion's Bridge, Newport News VA - This kid really didn't want to feed the RWW (Rats with Wings). His goal was to chase them. His method - dump a bunch of bread crumbs on the ground and then back off. When the RWW landed to scarf the food, the kid would run into the birds shouting, "BOOO!".:rofl

I went down there to practice shooting birds. This kid changed all those plans and I got these. I think these are a sweeter brand of lemonaide anyway. :thumb

What do you think?

#1 - You can see his bag is still pretty full, about 1/2 what he started with.

#2 - That bad is now empty and is flapping in the breeze. It almost looks like the kid is out to smack the RWW with the bag.

    Hi Scott_Quier
    Great Photos!1drink.gif
I go to a local park and take photos of the ducks and birds.
Most of the time there is a kid that charges to ducks and makes them
fly while I am there. I guess it is a kid thing and they think it is fun.

Kids will be kids, especially boys!!! Besides...you notice the bread crumbs are gone and the birds still persist! Cute captures, Scott. :D

Thanks for looking and dropping a note.

Chuck - you're right. This kid really was having a good time. These birds are usually very reliable practice subjects. Usually I get an opportunity to shoot them un-molested. Sometimes not. The kid gave me an opportunity to do something a little different.

saurora - Yeah, I guess it's a boy thing. I've never seen a girl do this. I guess because they have more common sense.

George - Dangerous only on the over-flights.
