Hi,
I had my galler earlier on my own site and I had set up coppermine. Now I have got a smugmug account and want to migrate my older galleries to smugmug. I dont really worry about preserving categories etc., but just need a way to put all pics in a particular gallery on my coppermine setup to a particular gallery in smugmug.
And hints?

I moved you here to the hacks forum, let's see what the haxx0rs have to say.

I have no clue that this would be relevant to your post, but you might check out http://secunia.com/advisories/18941/ relating to a security vulnerability in Coppermine versions 1.4.3 and earlier...

Are you running your own coppermine server, or are you using a 3rd party hosting solution?
If 3rd party, which one?
If you're running your own, what level of skill would you rate yourself at (e.g. writing custom SQL?)
Where is it running? A web-server somewhere? How good access do you have to the server?
(My knowledge of coppermine has just come from 20seconds reading the description, I've never run one of these, I pay Smugmug to do that kind of thing for me , others will probably know more than me. These are just preliminary questions so I can understand what kind of thing we're dealing with)
Cheers,

If smugmug can have a plugin by which I can put images in a gallery from a remote server lets say http://www.example.com/temp/*.jpg this will solve my problem quite a bit. this way I wont have to pull the pics to my computer and then upload.

Sorry I haven't got back to you.
If you can do that (and set the directory to allow indexing), I can get you something to download and upload from your local machine, no trouble, but I don't think Smugmug currently have a facility to do a direct migration.

thanks, but that wont help. I have a script which can download the images to my computer, and then uploading to smugmug is not a problem. But the issue is that my connection is only 256kbits down and 128kbits up. This means if I download and upload 100megs, its going to take ages. However the server where my images are hosted is 100Mbits or so.
