Finally....
I found a stinkin Egret today.
So there!
Oh yeah, I found some deer and an Osprey nest/post.
The skies were a little ugly for the osprey shot, so I changed it to B&W.
All shots with a Canon XT and a Canon 400L F5.6.
Thanks for looking.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks again folks.
Kevin, I am using the 400L more than the Sigma, but I don't know if it's
because it new to me, (I bought it used) or that it's a better lens.
I can say that the 400L is lighter and easier to carry around. The Canon
is sharper wide open also, so I gain a stop by using it cause I always use
F8 with my Sigma. The other thing is, I used the Sigma alot more when I
was using my 300. (ISO 200) Now that I have the XT, ISO 400 seems less noisy,
so I gain another stop using the XT. So even though the Sigma has o.s.,
I'm missing it less and less. If I'm working in low light, at 400mm, I will most likely
reach for the Sigma. I still don't like to use a tripod.
One more thing. I really started to let the Sigma stay at home when I got
the Canon 70-300is lens. This lens focuses faster, is better wide open,
has a better i.s. system, and is way lighter and smaller than the Sigma.
I now carry the 70-300is and the 400L instead of the Sigma. I think my
shots are coming out a little bit better with this combo than with the Sigma.
Clear as mud, huh.
Hope this explains it.
