Burrowing Owl

Spent the morning chasing these little guys. Kinda skittish, I had to spend over an hour slowly creeping up on them.

    AWwwww they only got one leg!!!:D

    I guess that is their habit to stand like that?

    Great shots. Owls are so cool. I really don't see how you can sneak up on owls and birds like that and not have them fly off to the next county.

    the 2 legged ones are harder to shoot about 90 to 2 i think are the #'s :D very good stuff thumb.gif we find it very hard to even find the owls :cry

    Great shots Steve. You have definitely put that 500 mm Bazooka (i mean canon) to good use. You have posted so many excellent shots, you could probably think about publishing a 'Birds of Northern NV' book. (let me know if you need some pintail shots). Kevin.
