Just Had to Share....

Took the most extraordinary hour and a half walk yesterday in a local nature preserve late in the afternoon with nobody else around. Besides finding a great-horned owl nest with mom, dad, and baby in the neighborhood, and having a few deer stand so close I could not even get a headshot with my 400mm lens, I stumbled on some wild turkeys in full mating display - must have gotten more than a dozen very printable shots among about 50 taken. They, too, were too close for my long lens. While my workload is such that I probably won't be able to post the fruits of this excursion for 2 or three days (unless I get lucky and work slacks off - fat chance) - I wanted to share a taste...quickly processed on an uncalibrated monitor (so all fault is mine, not the equipment)...
