Shot in RAW.
Landscapes in the Bay Area tend to be pretty dry this time of the year.
Give us a few showers, like we've had today, and the hills green up nicely.
Comments or suggestions?

right corner (tho it's almost like the scene).

I like both of them. I think I'd try some curves on the sky in the second one. I don't know what needs fixing in the right corner. I think you need to type that one again.

You then bring in the second shot as a layer in the first and use a layer mask to blend the two. I've done it a number of times to save a sky.
I still think your first shot is the more compelling of the two, dramatic sky, long ess curve fading into the horizon ...

The second iis definitely a beautifull place, but the landscaper already did most of the work for you.. (just kidding but you know what I mean...)
