OK, that Daily thing I belong to, it is driving me nuts, just absolutely nuts. I don't usually shoot every day, and if I shoot, it takes up my evening, etc.

Well, I thought I would just stay in the neighborhood yesterday, no driving. I walked around the corner and sat by "Ginger's pond" though I haven't seen many birds there this year.

Well, I got some..............not slews, but enough. I worked up two good ones, or interesting ones, or something, then at midnight I went in the living rm to watch my movie and fell asleep with it on........it was off this AM. I hope the TV didn't break.

I want to post these, though I have others to work up, but these are what I did last night.

Green Heron below, I have not seen one anywhere else yet this year, but there were two, this one was there when I arrived. He left and of course they did not come that close to me again.

Thusie, I have stories. A squirrel bombed me! I mean fell out of a tree or something less than a foot from where I was sitting. The ground shook! Do they do that? I screamed! The squirrel took off like a shot, and my lens was the 400 with extender, no way could I have shot that even if I hadn't been screaming............???? I have never had that happen.

And I think I photographed the Loch Ness monster. If there sightings have been slim lately, well, I think he retired to my pond. (hehe, everyone else wants to move here, why not him,:): )

If you don't like the above photograph, I have others........many. Just in case. I like this one as it is different. I only have about 5 of them, smile.

Below is just a Mallard, but I didn't see it as "just" a mallard. I saw them, there were at least three, as an exposure challenge. This shot impressed me with the exposure, though, I guess to some it would be "just" a mallard.

I have others of the three, and I plan to work a few up as I found them thrilling for some reason.
They came, and they went!

I followed the directions in a magazine (Rangefinder) and made a frame action..........the night before last, or recently. I think it is too big, but I followed the directions exactly as I have never made any action before.

What do you think? And what numbers would you use? I used 1 inch, and 1 inch..........that is what the magazine said to do. Actions are cool, it just whips into place, I have to make more, soon, sometime.

Same photo with that frame action on it:

Have a great day!

After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

I like your shots! And for some reason I think the fame is fine, looks a bit big but worksne_nau.gif Never have tried any actions.

Squirrels do fall. I had one fall ON MEeek7.gif Mating chase going on in the big maple and I walked under it just in time for a big male to land on my shoulder. Thank God he bounced and hit the ground, was just waiting for my face to be used as a launcing pad.

Nice comp on those shots. I'm not sure abut your color saturation on the green heron though. Last time i saw a bird with that kind of color was during the 70's when I was testing recreational drugs. :D

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
