Hi Y'all,

Just a few shots from my recent trips up to the rookery in St. Augustine

The above shot was with my 85mm 1.4 lens. I was very impressed with the images from that lens. Here's a 100% crop from that shot

Our Florida birds are so cooperative that they bring ID guides with them to help in the ID Process. :rofl

Harry could you adopt me so I can come shoot bird portraits with an 85mm lens. I mean come on, I saw the first Snowy of the year today and it was still just a speck with my 400. Great work as usual.

    Wow.....
OK that shot of the bird with the chicks in the next hidden behind a waterfall of feathers has got to win some kind of award for you!

And that 100% crop -- OK, I'm officially jealous!:):

Are all your 100% crops that good?????

Don't let Andy see that crop--I think he'll cry! (We all know how important those crops are to him!)

Thanks for those very kind words. If you keep that up my "egg"o (my futile attempt at bird humor) will be quite inflated. rolleyes1.gif

    Absolutely magnificent shots, Harry.

I agree about the one with chicks screened by the feathers being worthy of an award. I really love that one.

I'll adopt anyone who comes with Italian beef sandwiches. rolleyes1.gif

I'm sorry about that 85mm shot. That bird was way too close for so much glass. I knew I should have brought my 28-70mm with me. :D

The only 100% crops that are that good are the ones I show. The ones that aren't will remain my dirty little secret. :D
