Well, since I truly enjoy astrophotography, I like this very much, considering it's my first shot of the moon. Using my only lens I have for now, set all the way @450mm, (and I still haven't bought a tripod:doh) ISO @200, aperture @F6 and shutter @1/500.
The moon isn't full yet. Maybe it will be Saturday night, but watch it rain.:rolleyes I tried taking a picture of a star next to it, but it never showed up like it did on my N75. Since I dunno much at all about photography yet, I was wondering why I could get the craters with the flash on, and with the flash off, the moon looked nothing but like a white ball? Surely the flash did not reach the moon.:rofl
Well, hope this looks okay for a first lunar attempt. It's set as my desktop tonight.:):

I assume that with ther flash, it was forcing the camera to expose for daylight conditions, which is what the moon is, all be it on a dark background. Read the link and stop down to f/11. Good luck and post the pics of what you learn

Man, there's blow mine away. I used the PS-CS2 on it. There were two things I could not find on the program to use... composition and contrast, so I gave up. I think I went overboard on the sharpness, though. So I'm gonna try the Nikon PictureProject next time. :ps
