Hey Charles...you had me drooling with that lens; I'm glad it's sold, now my bank account can go back to realistic dreams...

It was sold to a dgrinner. But it is a great available light lens. Perhaps a little long for your purposes. Do you have the 50mm f1.4?

Hey Charles...it is a bit long, but I'm getting used to that. I have a 200mm 2.8L and it's definitely a new shooting style for me, but it's good. The low light aspects are a joy to explore. I'm getting the 50mm 1.4 very soon...is it great? I've heard good things.

I do not have one anymore but it is *the* low-light price performer. At less than $300 it is a real bargain. Mind you the 50 1.8 at $70 is even more of a bargain. I just think the diff between the bzzzzt delay AF in the 1.8 and the instantaneous USM focus on the 1.4 would be worth the difference to you. Not to mention the manual override on the AF.

    Damon

I bought one on the weekend, I''ll get some shots up soon! After using the 8080 I really love the extra control of DOF you have.

I loved that picture of Lida, beautiful eyes!
